Projects
Supercharged
Supercharged is a sports strategy game about super heroes that play ultimate frisbee, in this game players will take turns planning out their actions for the heroes on their team, at the end of the planning phase all heroes act on their initial moves in a hectic realtime phase, each hero has their own abilities allowing for fluid yet tactical gameplay, for this game I had the pleasure of working with Lunafield as the lead sound designer were I created the soundtrack, UI sounds and ability sounds.
Sinners Booth
Sinners Booth is a horror game project I have been working on with two of my close friends. In this game you play a priest in a confession booth situated in a rural town, you will make choices that impact the lives of the local residents in a branching and profound story. I am one of the main developers on the project, I am responsible for sound design, sound integration and joint gameplay designer.
Sound Design Demo Reel
For these redesigned clips, I removed the original audio and rebuilt the full soundscape in Reaper. I sourced every sound effect, cleaned them with EQ, compression and noise reduction, I then synced each frame accurately to the animation with panning to match animation. Finishing off by mixing and mastering the session for a polished soundscape. I have another clip that will be added in due time.
Guild Rush Dissertation Project
My final university project involved creating audio for a 2D card game made by a friend. I explored the challenges of using middleware and Unity to build sounds and music inspired by fantasy games like Final Fantasy, Hearthstone, and Yu-Gi-Oh. I also taught myself Wwise and learned how to integrate it into Unity.
Project Promethean
Project Promethean is the current project I am working on as one of two current sound designers, this video is a rough draft of what I have done adding the sound of a giant laser to unreal, overtime I will add to this video so it will become a collection of my work at Hardly Hyperbolic .
Interactive Music Project
This was interactive music project were I used a Program called Max, in this program I used Kontakt to get sounds that I could then fluctuate in pitch and effects when moving the colours around the screen via a camera. I could use as many as 4 colours on screen at the same time to produce different sounding results
Production and mixing project
This was my production and mixing project where I was given a song and had to utilise outboard gear such as the Lexicon PCM 92, SSL compressors and limiters, this was all done strictly on Pro Tools it was meant to give a sense of hybrid workflow by using the SSL desk and Pro tools simultaneously
These are some of my side adventures I have been on which I am very proud about, I used to be in a band when I was in college and we performed at Godiva Festival and we also released some music videos and songs to spotify.
